About Rosa & Arthur
Once upon a time, Arthur built a sunflower maze in Amsterdam North, hoping to make the world just a little bit more beautiful. That's where he met Rosa.
Together, they planted trees at festivals and dreamed up playful, connecting ways to chip away at the plastic problem.
Rosa loved traveling to places where Ubuntu — the South African word for humanity and togetherness — still sat at the center of everything. There, she felt at home. She felt at home in backpacker life, too, where coming together and having fun just... happened, naturally, without anyone trying too hard.
"Why," she wondered, "was 'Ubuntu' so hard to find within my own culture?"
Why did connection so often feel distant, cool, like everyone had been sorted into their own little box?
Was it possible — even in "regular" life — to meet people in a way that skipped past agendas and small talk?
To connect with others as equals, to share interests together, simply because it made everyone happy?
Rosa made a plan. Arthur built the website.
